From Neglected Land to Flourishing Farm
In the mid-1990s, the site that is now Alemany Farm was an underutilized plot adjacent to the Alemany Public Housing community. Recognizing its potential, a coalition of volunteers and local organizations transformed the neglected land into a thriving urban farm. Today, it stands as a testament to the power of community-driven initiatives and the possibilities of urban agriculture.
A Hub for Education and Engagement
